Scarlett & Ryan Don’t Talk Shop at Home

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds don’t talk about work when they’re at home.

Ryan says to maintain wedded bliss they avoid talking shop so they can both relax and unwind when they walk in the door.

“We don’t have a lot of work talk around the house” he says. “We both prefer to just be ourselves at home. There’s no competition between us – we just don’t talk about it.”

Ryan recently revealed that he doesn’t like being referred to as a sex symbol.

“If you take any of that seriously, you need to be euthanized, ASAP” he told Entertainment Weekly.

“There are moments when you can use that your advantage. But it’s really embarrassing. I think I fear more than anything just sounding like a complete a-hole when I have to answer that question.”

Scarlett Johansson learns to relate with the help of Pete Yorn

Pete Yorn is a critically claimed and highly successful solo artist who has been active in the music industry for almost a decade. However, after dreaming of recording a duet album in 2006, Yorn contacted actress Scarlett Johansson who, while a singer at heart, had yet to venture into music.

Taking a leap of faith, the two came together to record an album which has only just now come to light three years after the fact.

The album, cheekily titled Break Up, is an indie pop album in the classic style of the many famous twentieth century duets, including those recorded by Serge Gainsbourg and Brigitte Bardot in the 1960s. The album features nine tracks recorded very simply in the garage studio of producer Sunny Levine.

Eight of the songs are written by Yorn and the album is rounded out by one cover, “I Am the Cosmos,” written by the late Chris Bell of Big Star.

The duo released the album’s first single “Relator” in May. While the release may seem unconventionally early, it has served to build an enormous amount of anticipation through out the music industry. Coming after the release of Johansson’s solo effort, Anywhere I Lay My Head, a 2008 album of Tom Waits cover songs, Break Up shows how versatile the actress truly is as a singer.

Scarlett’s not doing any reality show

Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson has slammed reports of her granting a TV channel access to her day-to-day life for a new reality show.

The ‘Lost In Translation’ actress was listed as one of four stars inviting viewers to take a sneak peek at her career and lifestyle for ITV2′’s programme ‘Fearne and…’ presented by Fearne Cotton.

However, the news of her being linked to the show has baffled Scarlett, and she has out-rightly denied that she would ever do such a show.

Her representative Marcel Pariseau has denied the reports, claiming that Sacrlett is being fabricated. “We have never been approached about the Fearne Cotton show and Scarlett would never participate in this sort of show. Scarlett is a very private person. It’s a complete fabrication”

Scarlett reanimate ‘Bride of Frankenstein’?

Reports on the Web are that the “Iron Man 2″ actress is being considered to play a hot female monster in an updated version of the original 1935 horror movie.

A source said: “The Bride of Frankenstein will be young this time. They’re looking for a person with great power and sex appeal. Someone along the lines of Scarlett Johansson or Anne Hathaway.”

But according to Scarlett’s publicist, Marcel Pariseau, it’s not true. At least, not yet. He told the Dish Rag, “She has not been approached for this project. If anything changes, I’ll let you know.”

Johansson ‘inspiration for Bride’

Scarlett Johansson and Anne Hathaway are the inspiration for the female creature in The Bride Of Frankenstein remake, it has been reported.

The project, based on the 1935 horror classic, was announced earlier this week, and will be directed by Neil Burger.

In the original film the titular character, played by Elsa Lanchester, was portrayed as a frizzy-haired ghoul, while producer Brian Grazer reportedly wants the new bride to have sex appeal, says The New York Post.

“She’ll be young. They’re looking for a person with great power and sex appeal,” said a source.

“Someone along the lines of Scarlett Johansson or Anne Hathaway.”
